Coaching
I work one-on-one with parents whose child has adopted a trans identity. Not general support: strategy for your specific family, built with you over time. I’ve done this with hundreds of families around the world.
What this actually is
Over our first several meetings I build a detailed map of your child and your family, including personalities, history, relationships, and what your child is trying to solve by this. You’ll know we’ve arrived when I can tell you how your child will react to something, despite never having met them.
From there we plan the real moves: what you say, how you say it, when, and what to do when it goes sideways. You carry it out and report back, and the results shape what comes next. Unlike therapy, I give advice and expect you to act on it.

I work with parents, never with the child.
Your child doesn’t know I exist, and that’s by design.
The commitment
This is intensive. New clients start with eight weekly meetings over two months, and most spend several hours a week on course material between them. I ask that your spouse or co-parent take part. One parent working alone while the other waits it out rarely gets anywhere, and I’ll push the less engaged parent to take a role only they can fill.
Coaching doesn’t replace ROGD Repair, it runs alongside it. Paying my hourly rate to hear concepts already in the course is a waste of your money.
Two ways to begin
Eight weekly 75-minute meetings, a summary and transcript after each, and lifetime access to ROGD Repair and RepairBot. You’ll have a clear direction within the first few meetings. By the eighth, you’ll have a working plan for your family and the tools to carry it forward. If you’d like continued support after that, we can keep meeting.
I ask that your spouse or co-parent join the meetings, and that between them you both study the parts of the course that apply to your family.
One urgent three-hour meeting with priority weekend scheduling, enough time for me to understand your situation and give you something to work with straight away. You’ll leave with a clear read on what’s happening, concrete next steps for the days ahead, and a summary and transcript to return to.
It’s a single meeting, not an ongoing commitment. You can book and pay for it in one step.
Because it’s urgent and on a weekend, it’s priced at a premium.
What I ask of you
That you’re coachable. When my advice runs against your instincts, tell me why. That’s valuable feedback, and I want to hear it.
That you study between meetings. The course material is what lets our time together go further.
That your spouse or co-parent takes part, and that the two of you work together.
That you trust the process through the early meetings, before the pieces come together.
You don’t need to arrive calm. I can work with distress.
Who this is for
Parents of children of any age, near or far, already medicalizing or not, estranged or at home. None of these rule you out.
What matters is that you haven’t given up.

This is coaching, not therapy. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon, but I’m not accepting patients, and I don’t diagnose or treat anyone. Your child is not my client.
